What's Happening in 1H:
Maternity Leave: Kate Kiebach, my long-term, will be starting January 5th upon the kids' return to school. I'm hoping Baby Happel arrives well before then, but regardless, I will not be returning as that week puts me at the 41 week mark! As I reiterated to you at conference time, Kate and I will be checking in with one another frequently while I'm away. The tentative date of my return is Monday, March 23rd. This means you will have an opportunity to speak with Mrs. Kiebach during conference time about your child's progress during Trimester 2 :) If at any point while I'm away you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Kiebach or I can also be reached via school email. I can't guarantee I'll check this multiple times per day, but I will definitely be checking each morning.

Science: We will be starting a new science unit in January. This unit will be about Air & Weather. Throughout the course of this unit, the kiddos will be "mini Meteorologists" and will learn about and track weather patterns each day as well as over time. They will be learning about wind and how it affects weather as well as the phases of the moon. They are looking forward to starting up more science-related content again! :)
