Emma checking out how tall a polar bear is!
Mililley and Caleah researching penguins!
Weston and Morgan researching penguins!
Below are some scenes from a day we met in research teams (penguin researchers and polar bear researchers) to discuss findings. This was a great time for them to learn about how to work as a team, how to share ideas responsibly and respectfully, and how to keep track of what they've shared using a designated recorder. I think the kids learned a lot from each other. It was great and they begged me to do it again! They felt like grown ups, they said :)
Thank you so much for sharing in our day! The kids were really excited to share their learning with you and each other. Our virtual field trip with the Omaha Zoo started off slowly due to technical difficulties, but once it got rolling, it was very informative and interesting. I think the kids (although they were already pretty much experts abou their animal at that point!) learned a lot from talking with the zoologist!
Thanks again!
Mrs. H :)
