It's great to be back! I missed your kiddos a lot during my leave. While I do miss being home with my little ones all day, I'm excited to witness your child's growth since we left for the holidays in December. (It seems like so long ago!) I'm seeing some great things happening in first grade. They've grown academically AND physically since then!
Looking forward to the next couple of months, we will be doing a couple of new science projects and we are SO EXCITED. A lot of the activities included will be outdoors, so let's hope for warmer weather soon! We'll be learning about dinosaurs and fossils as a tie-in to Van Horne Elementary's spring program, coming up in April. We will also be learning about butterflies and the changes they go through as they make their transformation. Plants and soil will also be tied in to our butterfly unit, which will begin in May and will lead us up to the end of the school year. (CRAZY!)
