Fossils!

We made fossils yesterday!  You will most likely see your child's finished product tonight.  (Let's hope they make it home in one piece!)

We used plaster of paris, an empty milk carton, and shells to make our fossils.  We talked about how layers and layers of sediment (little rocks, sand, and mud) cover animals that have died, harden, and become fossils.  We talked about the different uses of sedimentary rock.
