Mrs. Happel Forgot Her Camera!!! (and Other First Day Musings)

What a crazy first day!  Cutting out two hours AND trying to get to as many fun activities, get-to-know-you games, and classroom routine discussions as possible really made it a busy first day!  It has been WONDERFUL getting to know your child more and getting into those beginning of the year routines and I'm excited for what lies ahead for us in 1H! :)

I always take pictures of the kids on their first day of first grade for a writing activity as well as for posterity when we do our memory books at the end of the year.  Whether it was due to the crazy fog and change in routines, my excitement/anxious feelings toward starting the school year, OR just because I can be pretty forgetful, I FORGOT MY CAMERA YESTERDAY!  Yikes!  So, I took a picture of each of the kiddos today on their SECOND day of first grade!  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.  It's always fun to see how much they change physically (not to mention emotionally and academically) from the start of the year to the end of the year.  It's awesome, really, and part of why I love what I do!
