Hands-on things the kids can manipulate not only engages them in the task, but also helps my kinesthetic (hands-on) learners. Learning by doing is key!
The use of cubes, straws, and paperclips also promotes independence. They know what to do and dig right in, asking questions when needed. Independence, responsibilty, patience, and trustworthiness are all big themes in 1H!
Hi, Weston! Gotcha!
Our next topic, Topic 14 (skipping 13 and coming back to it as it deals with telling time!) will be about representation of information through graphs. This is always a favorite of my visual learners!
