Spelling will officially start Monday, September 9th. You should be receiving a list of words in your child's Take Home Folder this weekend. Here are the ten words your child will be asked to learn this week in order to practice the common spelling patterns associated with them:

2. get
3. clap
4. ship
5. fish
6. shut
7. wish
8. I
9. the
10. shampoo
The spelling rule we will be practicing will be the blend sh as well as am and short vowels a, e, i, and u. The word shampoo will be a bit tricky; they'll surprise you with how hard they'll work to get this one right!
