Your child will be bringing home a summary of his or her performance on the mid-year FAST reading testing we completed in mid-January. This will come home tomorrow, February 19th.
One section included on your child's FAST scores/profile sheet is the section for goal setting. You will notice I have not filled out this section of the profile sheet. I will be sending a copy of the goals your child and I set for behavior, reading, writing, math, and work habits as well as next steps for each at a later date when I have had a chance to finish goal setting with the class. (We missed my designated goal setting day because of snow!) I have a sub coming in for me Monday, February 22nd so I can finish up goal setting, so look for those goal setting sheets sometime next week!

I don't like to wait until conferences to have those conversations, especially when discussing next steps to help your child grow as a learner :)
