"I Can" Statements: Week of November 16th

Here are this week's learning targets!

I can...

• read and write words with open vowel sounds (go, so, me, he, etc.)
• identify ending vowel sounds.
• substitute final sounds in words.
• blend and segment phonemes.
• use proper punctuation while writing.
• write a personal narrative with characters, a setting, a problem, and a solution with at least two sequenced events.
• identify the sequence of events in a text by using signal words (first, then, next, last/finally).
• recognize the number of objects in a patterned arrangement without counting (ten frames, dominoes).
• understand that two parts, when put together, equal one whole (part + part = whole).
• make parts of 10.
