- read and write words with CVCe long o (home, hope, stove, etc.)
- associate the long o sound with the CVCe pattern ("magic e")
- substitute medial (middle) sounds in words.
- name the characters in the story.
- describe the characters in the story.
- use a complete sentence when writing.
- locate nouns and verbs in a sentence.
- capitalize all proper nouns in a sentence.
- tell time to the hour and half hour using analog and digital clocks.
