"I Can" Statements: Week of February 1st

Here are our learning targets for this week!

I can...
  • read and write words with y as a vowel.
  • identify final vowel sounds.
  • substitute final sounds in words.
  • summarize what is seen in pictures and in text.
  • use fix-up monitoring strategies to understand.
  • participate in shared research and writing projects.
  • understand the term "double" as double addends in an addition sentence (i.e. 5+5=10 is double 5).
  • make a 10 to add (i.e. 9+4 can be thought of as 10+3).
  • understand the relationship between addition and subtraction (fact families).
  • add three addends (i.e. 3+4+1=8)
