"I Can" Statements: Week of January 18th

Here are our learning targets for this week!

I can...
  • read and write words with long e digraphs.
  • identify long vowel sounds in words.
  • differentiate long vowel sounds in words.
  • substitute medial (middle) sounds in words.
  • make inferences using pictures and words in a story.
  • make connections with pictures and words in a story using prior knowledge.
  • understand the term "double" as double addends in an addition sentence (i.e. 5+5=10 is double 5).
  • understand a near double fact is an addition sentence close to a double fact (i.e. 6+5=11, because 5+5=10 and 6 is one more than 5).
  • understand the relationship between addition and subtraction (fact families).
